A Brush With Kindness


Central Minnesota Habitat for Humanity is launching a new program called A Brush With Kindness! A Brush With Kindness (ABWK) is an exterior home preservation program that provides painting, landscaping and minor repair services for homeowners in need. ABWK helps low-income homeowners, impacted by age, disability and family circumstances, who struggle to maintain the exterior of their homes, reclaim their homes with pride and dignity. Women Build Wine Social


Join us on Thursday, August 12th from 5:30-8:30pm at the Westside Liquor Learning Center in Sartell for a Wine Social. 

This event will feature live music, wine sampling, hor d'oeuvres, cash bar, Lucky Buck auction and a chance for some great networking!  All proceeds from the Social will benefit Women Build 2010; this is your chance to become an advocate of safe, decent, affordable housing in our community.

Tickets are just $25 and can be purchased at the Habitat office, or from one of the Women Build committee memebers: Kris Nelson, Rachael Moore, Rachel Thoennes, Dee Rengel, Rachelle Bauer, Patricia Nitz, Erin Bitzan or Summer Hagy.


 

 

Harlem Ambassadors


Tickets are ON SALE NOW for the Harlem Ambassadors Basketball game & show on Saturday, September 18.  The event will be held at St. Cloud State University Halenbeck Hall in the main gym - game time is 5pm.

Don't miss out on your chance to see local celebrities face off against the Harlem Ambassadors.  We promise a fun and exciting show for the entire family.  *We are still seeking players for the Habitat Home Bodies challenge team!  If you would like to join the fun, give us a call!

Home Dedication Marathon!


On June 28th, 2010 we celebrated the dedications of our latest home projects at 1281 9th Avenue North in St. Cloud, MN and 4984 Mitchell Road in Big Lake. The ceremony in Big Lake took place at 12:00pm and the ceremony in St. Cloud at 4:30pm. Please join us in welcoming the Widstrom and Bauer families to their new homes!


 

 

Carter Work Project coming to the Twin Cities!


Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity has been selected to co-host the annual Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter Work Project, a weeklong project October 4-8, 2010.  Over the course of the week, volunteers will build, renovate or repair a total of 20 homes in North Minneapolis and the East Side of St. Paul, which are two of the areas in most need of stabilization in the Twin Cities.

A Great Start to the 2010 Build Season!


Central Minnesota Habitat for Humanity has wonderful new to share with everyone! We have been awarded a grant for two 2010 Thrivent Builds homes.  $111,358 for the Paynesville Build and $125,041 for a St. Cloud project . . . totaling $236,399! This means that we will be able to help serve more families and ensure that they will have safe and affordable housing! Click on the icon below to read more.
