Mursal Mohamed and Layla Sheikh 's Story

Having a large family brings a lot of love, but also brings a lot of financial strain, which has been the source of trouble for Mursal and Layla. They have six children, ranging from eighteen months to fourteen years old, which consists of four boys and two girls. Mursal was employed through Electrolux Home Products, but due to the economy and hard times Mursal was laid off. However, he has recently found work as a purchaser and store manager for a Somalian market in St. Cloud. While he is at work, Layla remains at home to care for the children.

They will be living in one of the twin homes on 11^th Avenue SE and have been working hard on their sweat equity hours and have almost completed them. We are excited to be in partnership with them and can't wait for them to move into their new home and begin a new life.
