Golf Tournaments Summer 2009

Wright County Golf Tournament
On July 16th the Wright County Golf Committee held its 6th Annual Scramble for Habitat at the Monticello Country Club with record numbers for the tournament this year. We had 88 golfers participate in the event along with 90+ businesses that provided donations for the silent auction items, hole, bronze and silver sponsors to make the event a great success. We raised a net profit of $7,700.00 for the Thrivent Builds project in Big Lake this year and would like to say a special thank you for all who participated in this great event. Please watch for more details to come on the date of the event in mid summer of 2010. We look forward to seeing our golfing friends again at next year's event.

Swing Fore Charity Golf Tournament
The 5th Annual Swing Fore Charity Golf Tournament was held on June 12th with Jacobs Financial and Green Mill Restaurant who came together to host its 5th Annual Swing Fore Charity at Territory Golf Course in Saint Cloud. For the second year in a row, registration sold out - this year over 148 golfers participated in the event along with multiple businesses who sponsored holes at the event. Jacobs Financial and Green Mill Restaurant raised over $10,000 in a net profit for the building materials needed to continue to help the mission be successful. Since the Swing Fore Habitat Golf Tournament began the event has raised over $25,000 in the last five years and continues to grow. We’d like to say a special thank you for all who participated in this year’s great event along with the coordinating efforts of Jacobs Financial and Green Mill Restaurant.
