Family Meet and Greet

Nothing is more inspiring than spending an evening with our partner families and the volunteers who will help guide them into their new homes.

We gathered at Salem Lutheran Church September 17th to share some special Somali food and desserts prepared by our partner families and get to know each other. Mission accomplished!!

Together, we mixed home-made root beer, we cranked out home- made ice cream, we played human bingo and we constructed very creative little homes out of toilet paper rolls, recycled paper, pipe cleaners and duct tape.

Whether just a few weeks away from owning their own home or just getting started on the journey, the excited smiles and boundless energy of the familes in the room fill ones heart with the joy of being part of a loving, caring community.
