Central Minnesota Habitat for Humanity's Women Build project will provide the opportunity for hundreds of area women, from all walks of life, to address this growing housing crisis. This is done by coming together as volunteers and donors to build simple, decent homes with low-income families.
What Women Build Entails
-Women will provide the labor and leadership-from framing to landscaping-in a supportive and empowering environment.
-Women will step out of their comfort zone, acquire new skills, make new friends and discover unexpected strengths.
-The vast volunteer pool of women in Central Minnesota will mobilize-better equipping us to tackle the growing need for affordable housing across the four-county region.
-The dream of affordable, sustainable homeownership will become a reality for one of the many area families in desperate need of stable housing for their children.
-Participants will make a lasting difference to themselves, to a partner family and to the Central Minnesota community.
-Opportunties include: contruction, fundraising, providing food, or organizing volunteers.
